Rizo Ritmo

6PM - 10PM

Izakaya After Dark returns Friday April 3rd from 6 PM to 10 PM at Freshido Bar and Kitchen, setting the tone for a night built around sound, drinks, and atmosphere. Rizo Ritmo takes over the turntables with a classic, authentic vinyl feel that shapes the entire evening. Made for slow pours, shared plates, and a pace that invites you to settle in and stay awhile.

Rizo Ritmo is a crate digger at heart, crafting intimate listening experiences through vinyl selections rooted in soul, funk, world grooves, jazz, and Japanese city pop. His approach favors depth over volume, treating each set as a slow-burn conversation between record, room, and listener—where groove unfolds naturally and every needle drop is placed with intention.

With experience playing in hi-fi focused listening spaces such as HiFi Izakaya in Lancaster and MoonDog HiFi in Brooklyn, NYC, Rizo understands the subtle art of playing with a room rather than over it. His selections emphasize warmth, texture, and flow, creating an atmosphere that encourages presence—music meant to be felt as much as heard, supporting conversation while quietly guiding the mood.

Rooted in years of crate digging, Rizo’s vinyl selections move fluidly across eras and borders, blending familiar classics with deeper cuts and overlooked gems. Soulful rhythms, funk-driven basslines, global grooves, new-age jazz and city pop melodies form the backbone of his sound, evoking nostalgia while remaining timeless.

As the night deepens, Rizo gradually introduces soulful and groove-forward house, allowing modern rhythm to emerge organically from his vinyl foundation, with a touch of digital selects. The result is a seamless transition from listening to movement—never abrupt, never forced, always guided by feel.

Whether warming a room early in the evening or carrying it into a late-night glow, Rizo Ritmo curates with the sensibility of a listener first and a DJ second. His sets invite guests to slow down, tune in, and linger—creating space where sound, setting, and shared experience come into quiet alignment.
